This project was for the second stage of a multi-stage redevelopment of the Cardiac Area located on Level 3 at Alfred’s Main Campus (Philip Block). The project was broken into 4 phases as per the below
The first phase included the modification of the existing space to create additional 4-day procedure chairs, alongside a new doctor reporting area and store room.
Phase 2 involved upgrading existing services and finishes to Cath Lab 3 to allow for the installation of the new Philips Azurian 7 C20 machine.
Phase 3 included the creation of a new welcoming reception space by demolishing the existing and installing new joinery, feature ceilings, bench seating and wall panelling
Phase 4 was for the upgrade of the existing comms room, the creation of a new unisex toilet, a consulting room and the creation of a clinical room to house 2 new day procedure chairs.
All areas were completed whilst Alfred’s staff remained in occupation by using dust-controlled hoardings signed off by Alfred's stringent infection control team, extraction fans and great collaboration with the project team and key stakeholders.
